The most-requested option now expected to drop with the Trollslayer update next month is easily the addition of save slots. Players will no longer need to back up files and can finally switch between multiple characters through an in-game interface to try out different builds.

That’s just the start of the new goodies in store for masochistic adventurers who don’t mind dying often and repeatedly in Stoneshard. Aside from the previously revealed skill trees, here’s what else has been added to the impending update:

Grave digging mechanics for finding loot at a potential cost of health and sanity Roadside altars that offer blessings to increase experience and reduce damage Three new points of interest to locate randomly on any given map Enhanced dungeon generation for more interesting underground locations

Of course, the mythical troll itself is also expected to make an appearance as a new boss when Stoneshard sees its next Early Access update on April 14.
